Phase one

A number of model boats will be built and tested and we hope to break the model record of 120mph.

Phase two

Final design of the full size boat will then be completed and construction will begin.

Phase three

Testing the boat at speed on water with an internal combustion engine engine.

Phase four

Testing of the electric motors and power supply.

Phase five

Testing the boat at speed with electric setup.

Phase six

TEST BOATS

Ugly Duckling test boat

The boat pictured here is running with with 2 graupner 9.6v 13k rpm motors on 45mm carbon props  flanking  a Torpedo  850 12v motor on 52.5mm carbon prop powered by 18 GP3300 mah Nimh Batteries in series (approx 25volts).

The 'Ugly Duckling' - project test boat

I t was clocked at over 25mph which is not that far off the current UK record for this class - the boat has not been set up or trimmed in any way and weighs 6 kilos and  we intent to run the boat gain around the new year on 24 cells and 4 kilos weight this should see us past the 30mph mark.
