VOLUNTEER HELPERS

Our volunteers really enjoy helping at Bushy Wood at the weekends. They mucks in generally (literally), feeds and waters the horses, then grooms and exercises them.

One helper says: "I look forward to working at Bushy Wood because I totally love horses". She continues: "My favorite horses there are Larry and Danny. Sometimes I treat my friends who can't go riding to come with me to Bushy Wood. I love mixing up all the pony mix with the bran and I think it is lovely to groom horses because they come up lovely and shiny!" "Washing little Larry with horse shampoo is really funny because Larry pops the bubbles!! Collecting the chickens eggs is also a laugh. What I also like about Bushy Wood is the people you meet there. The manager, Val, is funny and friendly and always willing to teach you how to care for the horses.

We believe every horse, pony and donkey has the right to be part of a loving family where it will be cared for and loved to the end of its natural life.
