Most youngsters start riding horses at an early age. For this reason there are a number of riding schools in Sussex offering supervised treks at the weekends, especially.
Bushy Wood offer free rides to their helpers at the weekends, whatever age, but particularly encourage younger members to get involved. There's always plenty to do. You can mucks in generally (literally), feed and waters the horses, then groom and exercise them. It's great fun, if you love horses and don't mind a bit of hard work. Gemma is seen here riding Santa at a riding school near Alfriston.
We believe every horse, pony and donkey has the right to be part of a loving family where it will be cared for and loved to the end of its natural life.
