Double sided sail with full length battens placed on inside surface of each side. Battens were made of thin wooden slats tied together. Mast was unstayed and rotated with sail. Met great great grandson of the designer/builder in Lisbon Portugal at the Expo. The rig I currently use on my D4 is based on this rig.
